It's the most wonderful time of the year. Or as some folks will tell you the most expensive time of the year. Parents are still rounding up their kids asking them what they want. I imagine every 14-year-old wants an iPad, new phone, new headphones or whatever is trending these days.

Makhi Reed asked for something that several 14-year-olds may take for granted. Makhi wanted braces to fix his speech impediment. Reed is being raised by his grandma and she was on a mission to help her grandson get a new smile for Christmas, there was only one problem, money. After Makhi's grandma took him to the orthodontist she realized the price was much more than she could afford totaling over $7,000.

Makhi's grandma took to Facebook to share a GoFundMe begging people to help her make her grandsons Christmas wish come true. Santa seemed busy, so he sent in Chris Cosse from Cosse and Silmon Orthodontics. The dynamic orthodontists are known for blessing several families with a beautiful smile in the SBC, but something tells us that Makhi's new smile is one no one in their office will ever forget.

After Makhi's grandma received a phone call from Cosse and Silmon she took to her GoFundMe to share the good news that had us all smiling. "Update!!! The rest of the expenses have been covered by Dr. Chris Cosse of Cosse & Silmon Orthodontics! Please say a prayer for all in that office! They have blessed us and made this boy's wish come true!"
