Clarence Spurs, known to many Shreveport radio listeners as "Cat Daddy", has died at the age of 58.

Spurs died of an apparent massive heart attack Thursday morning in the front yard of his home.

Spurs' nightly show on KDKS featured "old-school" R&B, frequently punctuated with his familiar catchphrases, "Love you by the pound" and "COME ON!"

He was also the owner of the legendary soul food restaurant "Cat Daddy's Old School Cafe" and a used car dealership.
