Louisiana Drivers Be Cautious When Driving on Monday December 23rd
There Will Be So Many People Driving Around the Ark-La-Tex Christmas Shopping.
If you put off your Christmas shopping you are not alone. Shreveport's Youree Drive is what many people would consider a madhouse and Airline Drive in Bossier is crazy busy. Christmas seems to bring everyone to Bossier and Shreveport.
Your Last-Minute Christmas Shopping Could Put You in Serious Danger.
A report by Nationwide has several people concerned. Did you know that the most dangerous day to hit the road is Monday, December 23rd? No, this isn't because of a scary winter storm that could hit Shreveport, it's because we are all very distracted while driving.
PR Newswire said, "According to the latest driving survey from Nationwide, the overwhelming majority agree driving has become more dangerous, reporting that other drivers are more often looking at their phones (92%)."
Nationwide is reminding everyone to stay off of their phones while driving especially on Monday. We are all so preoccupied and trying to multitask that we don't realize that we aren't just putting our lives at risk but everyone else on the road.
Nationwide claims that we encounter 5 or more distractions in a simple 20-minute commute. If you plan to be out on the road, make sure you stay off of your phone and focus on the road.
