Louisiana Firefighters Fight Car Fire, Car Explodes Close Range [VIDEO]

This frightening video shows just what our Louisiana firefighters go through on a daily basis.

I literally could not imagine this line of work. I have many friends here in the Ark-La-Tex that have decided to become firefighters. I tell them often that I respect what they do, but after seeing this video from New Orleans, I somehow have even more respect.

This now-viral video comes from the streets of Nola, and shows firefighters come dangerously close to tragedy.

Firefighters were filmed on Loyola Drive, trying to extinguish a car fire. Then, things took a turn for the worst as the car exploded with them very close.

Somehow, none were seriously injured from the explosion. You see in the video, though, that they were too close for comfort. You can see one of the firefighter's bunker gear literally smoking as he makes his way back to safety.
