Louisiana Man Destroys Street Sign to Steal a Bike [VIDEO]

Apparently this guy was willing to do anything to get his hands on a bike that wasn't his.

This security footage from New Orleans shows something you don't see every day.

This guy was walking along the streets of Nola when something caught his attention... A nice bicycle left unattended and potentially for the taking. Only one problem... The bike was chained to a street sign. Any other thief at this point would move on and try to find another way to be a menace to society, but not this dude.

Instead, he stood on the trash can next to the sign and proceeded to dismantle the sign. First, he took off the one-way sign, then moved on to remove the stop sign from the same pole.

Afterwards he simply lifted the bike off the pole and was on his way.

People like this are why we can't have nice things.
