Louisiana Man in Trouble for Stealing John Deere Tractor. Again.
Some people have to search their whole lives to find their passion. An unfortunate few never find that thing that really gets their soul excited. Carl Mobley of Powhatan is lucky in that aspect. He loves stealing John Deere tractors.
This time, Carl is being accused of pilfering a 2006 John Deere 6420 Cabover tractor with a front loader from a field in Cloutierville at Churchman Farms off Louisiana Highway 1.
KSLA reports that when the theft was reported, one Detective recalled seeing a tractor that fit the description of the missing one in a field off Louisiana Highway 491. After the briefest of investigations, the missing John Deere was returned to it's rightful owner and a suspect was identified. The last part was the easiest as police already had a perp with this particular m.o. Carl had previously been arrested for stealing a John Deere combine no less than 7 months ago. It seems he was on a one-man agricultural crime spree.
Carl is currently being held in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, charged with the unauthorized use of a movable valued at more than $10,000. He is being held on a $2,500 bond.
