Louisiana Native Peyton Manning Will Headline Shreveport Times’ 2017 Sports Awards
Peyton Manning is headed to the SBC next spring. We hope he's bringing pizza!
The Shreveport Times is getting ready for their 2017 Sports Awards. Last year, their headliner was Drew Brees. This year, it's New Orleans native Peyton Manning. Manning, who retired from the National Football League after winning Super Bowl 50, is the NFL's only five-time Most Valuable Player and a 14-time Pro Bowl selection.
The third annual Sports Awards will take place May 15 at the Shreveport Convention Center.
Local high school athletes will be honored at this event which will include a buffet, a question-and-answer session with the guest of honor, followed by the awards. 30 Athlete of the Year honors will be handed out in addition to Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards.
