Louisiana Purchased Powerball Ticket Worth $150,000

Did you happen to purchase a ticket for the multi-state lottery game Powerball for over the weekend? If you did you might want to double-check the numbers on your ticket to see if the ticket you bought was a big winner.

No, no ticket sold for the September 26th drawing matched all the numbers necessary to claim the Powerball big money jackpot. But someone who purchased a ticket in Louisiana for that drawing came pretty darn close.

In fact, according to the Louisiana Lottery website, there was a ticket sold in the state that matched four out of the five white-ball numbers. It also matched the Powerball. And, the ticket purchaser had opted for the Powerplay option as well. So all in total, that ticket is worth $150,000.

The Louisiana Lottery winners page says the winning ticket was sold in New Orleans at the Discount Corner on South Claiborne Avenue.
