Has Louisiana’s Ian Somerhalder Been Cut Out of a ‘Vampire Diaries’ Reunion?
The hit TV show The Vampire Diaries ran from 2009 to 2017 on the CW starring Louisiana's own Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore and now there are rumors of a reunion... that doesn't include Ian!
I will be honest. I came to the Vampire Diaries party late. I had to find The Originals first and I was late to that party, too. The Originals was kind of a spin-off of Vampire Diaries in that there was some shared history and, well, vampires. Other than that, The Originals tale was based in New Orleans while the Vampire Diaries storyline was set in Mystic Falls, Virginia. Then to wrap everything up, there was another spin-off called Legacies. When you add everything up between the three shows, you get 331 episodes across 17 seasons of television, but I digress.
Is there going to be a Vampire Diaries reunion?
Is there going to be a Vampire Diaries reunion? Your guess is as good as mine, but this TikTok from Nina Dobrev with cameos by Paul Wesley, Kat Graham, Candice King, Michael Trevino, Claire Holt, and Kayla Ewell sure has the internet thinking there might be... Let's check it out!

So, while his former co-stars are teasing folks with a possible reunion, what is Ian Somerhalder doing? Try to save the world.
Of course, Ian likes playing around, too. I found these funny clips between Ian and Paul Wesley giving each other grief and they're too cute not to share!
BTW, just in case you were wondering, Somerhalder hails from Covington, LA. At one time he was linked romantically to Dobrev, but he's married to Twilight star Nikki Reed. Maybe that has something to do with it?
