After taking a week off, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta returns and the start of the show is far from a pleasant one. Scrapp DeLeon turns himself in to head to prison, which kicks off this week's episode on a somber note.

Karlie Redd and Tommie both send words of encouragement, while Scrapp seems to be ready to face the music in court. He just wishes to be remembered for the family man that he is and not a criminal. When the moment of truth arrives, Scrapp gets sentenced to 20 years in prison, but the judge allows 15 of the years to be suspended. This means he will have to spend five years in prison at the minimum, as was expected according to all previous accounts surrounding his impending sentence. The scene in the courtroom is an emotional one, with Scrapp's loved ones distraught over the finality of the judge's words and seeing their relative whisked away in handcuffs.

Elsewhere, Stevie J is settling into Mimi Faust's home and appears to be reverting back to his old ways, but Mimi is having none of the drama and seems intent on laying down ground rules. She's located one of the women Stevie J allegedly got pregnant and had a kid with in North Carolina. Mimi suggests that she and Stevie pay her a visit to set the record straight.

Over in Momma Dee's world, she's got a plan for Betty Idol, whom she saw at the anti-bullying panel. She's become enamored with her beauty and talent and thinks she's the perfect girl for Scrappy to make his new love interest. In an attempt to play matchmaker, Momma Dee stops by to meet Betty and put a bid in for Scrappy. Betty claims that she doesn't want anything to do with Scrappy due to comments he made about the LGBT community that offended her, which prompts Momma Dee to vow to rectify the mishap and give Scrappy a tongue lashing.

On the way down to North Carolina, Mimi reveals that she brought a DNA test along to determine whether Stevie J is indeed the father of another child. Mimi also questions why Stevie J doesn't have his wedding ring on. He admits that he feels the connection that he had with Joseline is now gone in the aftermath of her reunion with Dawn and the accusations she's been spreading. After arriving at Promise B. Mae's home, the three make small talk before Stevie and Mimi begin to inquire about the validity of the rumors about his alleged love child. Promise B. Mae admits to making up the rumor about Stevie and says that she's never been in contact with Joseline. Apparently she only wanted to get Stevie's attention in an attempt to be famous.

Momma Dee catches up with Scrappy to discuss Betty Idol and his polarizing comments. She contends that she didn't raise Scrappy to be hateful and discriminatory and pleads for him to apologize to Betty. Scrappy maintains his position and the stance he took with his comments but agrees to have a conversation with Betty for his mother's sake.

When it comes to Joseline, she admits to Dawn that she made up the story about Stevie J's love child and that it's all a ploy to turn Mimi against him and to get back at him for all the heartache he's caused her. She also says that her and Stevie are separated and that she's intent on enjoying herself and living life, which her and Dawn promptly do by attending a party at Rick Ross' mansion.

Scrappy has a release party for his new song and Betty decides to show up in an attempt to get his side of the story behind his comments. D. Smith is also in attendance and not too happy with Scrappy's comments. He maintains that he's not against homosexuality or transgender people, but thinks that some are disingenuous.

Rasheeda meets up with Mimi Faust to get the scoop on rumors about Stevie moving back in with her, which Mimi denies while setting the record straight about their situation. Mimi also suspects that Joseline baked up her scheme to get her mad at Stevie and to cause turmoil in each of their personal lives. Rasheeda, in an attempt to look out for her friend, advises that Mimi should distance herself from getting in the middle of Stevie and Joseline's marital issues to save herself from the drama.

Mimi then gets a surprise in the form of a picture of Joseline at the party with Rick Ross, in which the rapper appears to be very fond of Stevie's wife. The picture is further evidence of Joseline's erratic behavior and confirmation for Mimi that things are taking a nasty turn for the worse in the Jordan household.

Before things come to a close, Stevie does a radio interview in which he introduces the world to his new business partner, Ms. Jackson, but the radio host seems to be more interested in the rift between him and Joseline. Stevie declares that he and Joseline are not together and drops the bombshell that the two were never married in the first place, which is sure to set off an explosive batch of fireworks in the coming episodes of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
