It's been since November 5th of 2011 since LSU has beaten former LSU coach Nick Saban and his Alabama team in a football game. A streak of 8 straight loses have haunted the Tigers program every year since 2011. But this evening, that streak ended.

LSU went into Tuscaloosa, with Head Coach Ed Orgeron, and walked out with a 46-41 victory.

Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow planted his flag firmly on top of the Heisman mountain with 31 completions of 39 attempts for 393 yards, 3 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Burrow also rushed for 64 yards, including some devastating, well timed runs that kept the Tigers in command.

The rushing leader on the night, and probably player of the game, was Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who gained 103 yards on 20 carries. He also ran for three touchdowns and caught another touchdown for a total of 4 on the night. With his 77 receiving yards, Edwards-Helaire accounted for 180 yards for the Tigers.

Bossier City's Terrace Marshall Jr caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in the game. Fellow receiver Ja'Marr Chase had 6 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown. Justin Jefferson and Thaddeus Moss also had multiple clutch catches throughout the game.

LSU will now travel to Ole Miss next Saturday.
