Everyone talked about how tough LSU's schedule was this season. With two Top 10 teams lined up in the first 3 weeks, and plenty of SEC road tests peppering their road, it looked like tough sledding.

Yesterday, LSU Football released their 2019 schedule, and the first reaction is...that it looks a lot easier that this year's.

Here's the full schedule:

LSU’s 2019 Football Schedule:

August 31: Georgia Southern at Home

September 7: Away at Texas

September 14: Northwestern State at Home

September 21: Away at Vanderbilt

October 5: Utah State at Home

October 12: Florida at Home

October 19: Away at Mississippi State

October 26: Auburn at Home

November 9: Away at Alabama

November 16: Away at Ole Miss

November 23: Arkansas at Home

November 30: Texas A&M at Home

So right away, you look for Alabama. It's late in the year, it's AT Alabama, so those aren't great. BUT, even if LSU takes a loss there, they have 3 weeks after to clean it up. Which includes Ole Miss and Arkansas, then A&M. The last one there will likely be another tough test, but it will be in Death Valley.

Looking at everything pre-Alabama, it looks really favorable. Georgia Southern, Utah State, and Northwestern State (really cool that LSU will keep that money in the state again, like with Southeastern and Louisiana Tech this year, just wish they had a second Louisiana school mixed in) all seem like easy wins. Their only SEC road games before Bama are Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, which are favorable for the Tigers too.

Getting Florida, Auburn, and A&M at home are huge overall.

The biggest question mark on this whole schedule is the September 7th game against Texas. Which Texas team will this be? By this point will they have turned a corner, or will they still be the same kind of program that loses to Maryland? If LSU gets past Texas, it will be highly likely that they will host Florida at 5-0. If they can take care of business at home this year, they'll likely go into the Alabama game 8-0.

Compared to the expectations of how this year's schedule would impact the current team, next year sounds like it will set up nicely for the Tigers.
