LSU Prepares For SEC Championship Still Sitting At #2 In Rankings

The college football playoff committee deliberated yesterday before they released their rankings and in the end they said that Ohio State is still the number one team in the country.

The LSU Tigers football team stay put at #2 in the rankings.  The big news out of the recent poll is that Alabama who lost to Auburn in the Iron Bowl last weekend fell seven spots from #5 to #12 and eliminating them from the college football playoffs.

LSU who beat Alabama is in the drivers seat to finish in the top four teams who will play for a National Championship but they have to take care of business this Saturday.

#2 LSU will face #4 Georgia this Saturday for the SEC Championship.  The game is in Atlanta Georgia in the Mercedes Benz Stadium.  Kickoff is at 3pm and will be televised on CBS.
