LSU Tigers Wrap Signing Day as #5 in the Nation
Another year, another exceptional recruiting class for our LSU Tigers.
I can't think of many seasons in recent years as highly anticipated as our upcoming season. Despite falling short of the ultimate goal (which is, of course, beating Alabama, although winning a national championship would be nice), the LSU Tigers still put together one heck of a season.
And also, we could all make a case for the Tigers to be the official, unofficial national champs since they took down the make-believe champions, UCF.
Now, all eyes are on the incoming class and boy oh boy, do we have a great group.
LSU ends the recruiting season with the fifth-ranked class in the nation according to 24/7Sports. It’s a group headlined by arguably the best player in the nation, five star Baton Rouge cornerback Derek Stingley, and five star Destrehan running back John Emery, and five star Texas linebacker Marcel Brooks.
Head coach Ed Orgeron says it’s the kind of class LSU fans demand. He says, "We signed the number one player in the nation in Derek Stingley, the number one player in Louisiana, the number one player in Tennessee, and ended up fifth in the country, so we feel that we have an outstanding class with an outstanding finish.”
Job well-done Coach O, and GEAUX LSU.
