Madea is Coming to Shreveport!

Tyler Perry announced that “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour” is coming to Shreveport this spring for a live stage play. The show will be at Shreveport's Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Tyler Perry shocked everyone when he announced that he will be retiring the popular character following 2019.

The play tour and new movie called "Madea's Family Funeral" will both come to town next March. Tickets will go on sale for the Farewell Play on Friday, December 7 at 10:00 a.m. so there's still time to get your seat. Tickets will start at $45 and this show is sure to sell out!

Madea who Tyler Perry has said is based on his mother and aunt made her first appearance in a play called "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" and has been a fan favorite ever since. While Madea is retiring I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Tyler Perry!
