Man Accused Of Killing Barksdale Airman Plans to Hire Casey Anothony’s Lawyer

Benjamin Shaw, 21, was arrested on January 24th after being accused of stabbing a Barksdale airman outside of Rocking Rodeo in Bossier City. He was taken into custody after being found at a nearby hotel, with his bond set at $750,000.

He has a hearing set for February 18th in an attempt to lower his bond to $100,000.

For his defense, he is expected to turn to a defense lawyer from Florida that most of you are familiar with.

That's right, attorney Jose Baez, who represented Casey Anthony in 2011.

Anthony (and Baez), of course, were the center of one of the most watched trials since OJ Simpson. Anthony was acquitted of all murder-related charges in connection with the disappearance and death of her 2-year-old daughter.

The Barksdale airman who lost his life was 34-year-old Technical Sergeant Zechariah Casagranda.

Witness reports vary when it comes to exactly what happened that night, but I hope the truth comes out and justice is served.
