Man Arrested For Trying To Steal From Louisiana Church

Ouachita Parish deputies arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a Sterlington church and attempting to steal sound equipment. A passerby noticed the lights in the church were on, and went in.

The witness noticed open supply closet doors. Deputies, upon arrival, found sound equipment stacked near a rear entrance through which Steven Dewayne English allegedly fled.

A K-9 officer was deployed and tracked English to a trash container. English was booked into the Parrish correctional center on charges of simple burglary of a religious building.Bail was set at $9,000.00.
