Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that happened Sunday, December 6th in the 7000 block of Pines Road just after 2:00 p.m. Shreveport Police responded to the 7000 block of Pines Road to a shooting at Tobacco Kings. When officers arrived, they located 24-year-old Jacoby Ware suffering from multiple gunshot injuries to the body. The victim was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Health, where he later died.

 A second individual identified as 20 year old Devoris Hardy was located at a nearby Sonic Drive-In suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the thigh, and hand. Hardy was transported to Ochsner LSU Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Crime scene investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation. After interviewing witnesses, and collecting surveillance at this location, detectives learned that Hardy and another male who has yet to be identified, approached Ware while he was sitting in his car at this location and began firing multiple shots into his vehicle striking the victim multiple times. During the encounter, Ware was able to return fire after exiting his vehicle, striking Hardy multiple times. The other unidentified suspect that was with Hardy fled the scene.

 After being discharged from Ochsner LSU Health, Hardy was booked directly into the Shreveport City Jail where he remains now. His bond has been set at $250,000. This investigation is still on-going.
