Think You Know the Bible? You Don’t Know it Better Than This Man
I didn't grow up in church so I've always been a bit embarrassed by not being able to quote verses verbatim from the Bible. Well, this man puts us all to shame!
I remember having to memorize the preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America in middle school and then recite it in front of the entire class. That was a daunting task, but it's stuck with me to this day. Imagine memorizing the entire New Testament so well that you could recite it by memory. This man has done just that and he's going to prove it today in Texas.
Tom Meyer is a professor of Bible studies from northern Kentucky and in an effort to bring everyone, not just Christians, together, he's reciting the New Testament aloud, from memory, without a script. He'll accomplish the feat with six others who will take turns during the recitation.
This incredible display is taking place in Dallas, Texas at the ICR Discovery Center for Earth and Science museum. It will be live-streamed for folks around the world to witness. Meyer is known as the 'Bible Memory Man' and he told Fox News that this event is a year and a half in the making, even though it's taken him 20 years of study to memorize 20 of the 27 books of the New Testament.ICR.org.
