Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine was forced to cancel a concert Friday at Liverpool's Echo Arena, citing throat problems.

Levine tweeted an apology to fans, writing, "Guys, I HATE having to let you down tonight. My cords [sic] are toast. We resume Sunday in Birmingham. Apologies. :("

This follow a previous post made by Levine, explaining, "I am really sorry not to be able to perform tonight, but I have been told to rest up by the doctor. As a band we always want to give every performance our all and sadly I just cannot do that tonight."

The band just wrapped a 30-city North American tour back in April, and the European leg of their tour kicked off in Paris May 24 at Zenith Paris. Get well soon, Adam!
