This One-of-a-Kind Event Is a Must-Do in Minden This Fall
One of the most exciting rides of all is coming back to haunt the streets of Minden, Louisiana.
Once a year, the city transforms into the most picturesque Halloween town, and women from all over the Ark-La-Tex flock to take in all the spooky fun and, of course, participate.

Minden’s Spookiest Bike Ride is Back
The Witches Ride, a whimsical bike ride where ladies from all over North Louisiana dress in their spookiest and most festive garb, is returning for another year. Started over 30 years ago in Seaside, Florida, this event has taken fire across the southeast, and our area was in desperate need of this type of fun. The event is for women only, ages 18 and up, but there is plenty of fun for everyone to enjoy.
A Festival for the Whole Family
This year's Witches Ride will take place on Saturday, October 25th, in downtown Minden. A festival-like atmosphere will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Miller Quarters and the Civic Center parking lot.
Entry into the festival is free, so bring the whole family. Spouses and kids are encouraged to participate as parade watchers and join in on the festival festivities. You can find over 30 local vendors, food trucks, a cash bar, a DJ, live music, a kids' costume contest, and a best "witchiest" laugh contest.
Last year’s ride brought in over 400 participants, and an even larger crowd is expected this year. Ride participant tickets are available on the website, witchesrideminden.com, with all proceeds benefiting the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry.
