Miss USA Couldn’t Name the Capital of the State She Represents

Ladies and gentlemen, meet our new Miss USA, Nia Sanchez.

Nia represented the great state of Nevada in this years pageant, but received a little scrutiny when questions emerged regarding her eligibility in this years pageant.

See, Nia was born and raised in California. She unsuccessfully competed in the Miss California pageant in 2010, 2011, and 2012. She then moved to Nevada, sat out in 2013, then competed and of course won this year. She sat out so that she could do it all the right way, pageant officials say that she has done just that.

So there's that. Now, she's making things even worse for herself.

Nia recently joined "The Todd Show" in New York to talk all things Miss USA. She even participated in a pop quiz. And thank goodness she did. The host asked her a simple question: What's the capital of Nevada?

Nia, unbelievably, had NO CLUE!!!!!!

The host had to remind her that the capital of Nevada is Carson City. Awkward!
