“Modern Family” Star Accuses Mom Of Abuse

TMZ.com reports that the mother of "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter has temporarily lost custody of the actress due to charges of physical and emotional abuse.

Winter's 34-year-old sister, Shanelle, filed a guardianship petition in Los Angeles last month. The actress' mother has been ordered by a judge not to contact her daughter until a hearing Nov. 20.

Winter plays younger daughter Alex Dunphy on the ABC comedy.
