I have been smiling a lot more lately, thanks to A Brighter Smile.

About twelve years ago, I went to a dentist and received two veneers to help me feel a little more comfortable with my smile. For one reason or another, I never went back, and spent the next twelve years self-conscious about my teeth, and honestly afraid of dental work in general.

After seeing what felt like a million great reviews for A Brighter Smile, a nervously set my appointment, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I cannot possibly explain to you how nervous I was sitting in their parking lot on Bert Kouns for my very first appointment. My teeth were A WRECK, to put it bluntly, and I had no clue what was in store for me once I walked in to my first dental appointment in a very long time.

All of that worry and nervousness went out the window about five minutes later when I finally walked inside. The staff greeted me before the door shut behind me, calling me by name and offering me water and a place to sit. They had already checked me in before I got there, so no boring, endless paperwork to fill out. That alone was a stress-reliever.

Moments later, I was escorted to a room where I sat for a few moments until Dr. Michael Wiesner came in and introduced himself. Quickly, he wanted to check out my teeth and figure out exactly what I wanted to do. To be completely honest, I didn't even know what I wanted, so I just told him I wanted a smile I could be proud of, and with no hesitation, he gave me a plethora of options which all would achieve that same goal.

After spit-balling a few ideas, I decided to get my top set of teeth fixed with veneers, six to be exact. If my gums were ready to begin that day, which was about a month and a half ago, I would have had the veneers around two weeks later. However, since my gums were in such bad shape, I went in for two cleanings a week apart, then a check-up on the third week to make sure my gums had improved. Since the staff at A Brighter Smile are all so incredibly helpful, they gave me every tool I needed to improve my gums quickly.

From there, Dr. Wiesner began the veneer process. Now, I want to point something out... 12 years ago I received just two veneers, and the process for just those two was incredibly long and painful. So the thought of moving to six was a little scary for me, but Dr. Wiesner and his wonderful crew of hygienists and assistants assured me this go-around would be much different for me, and they were right.

The veneer process starts with the trimming down of your original teeth. This process only took about an hour for me, and I felt absolutely nothing the entire time. It was incredible. Then, for the next 2-3 weeks, they custom-make a set of temporary veneers that you wear to make sure your sensitive teeth stay far away from air and water, and they also keep your gums in place for the eventual permanent veneer placement.

Just two weeks later, I came in to receive my permanent veneers. This was the part I was most-nervous for, from my experience with veneers twelve years ago.

I am not making this up, after around an hour of work, and not one single flinch of pain, I was given a mirror to look at my new teeth. I cannot possibly put into words how happy I was then, and how happy I am now. Without a doubt, going to see A Brighter Smile just a little over a month ago was none of the greatest decisions I've ever made.
