My Veterans Day Heroes: Part One

Happy Veteran's Day!  I love this holiday, and what it represents.  I have a few Veterans in my life - and I am super proud of all of them!

The handsome fellow on the right is my Grandfather, Arthur Clyde Shelley (a.k.a. Pawpaw).  He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Here he is stationed in Germany with my Grandmother, Willie Jim Shelley (Nan).

He was a man's man.  Hunting, fishing (with or without electricity / explosives), or really any adventurous outdoorsy thing came natural to him.  I have incredible memories of the time I spent with him. We built guns, made knives, went camping, and even shot the cannon he made!  I hope the statute of limitations has run out on that one :/
