#NationalFriedChickenDay: Who Serves Up the Best In Louisiana?
Can you smell it? That's the smell of fried chicken and it's the smell of the heavens.
When you think of heaven, do you ever think of what it will smell like beyond those pearly gates? I think it will smell of delicious, juicy, crispy, finger-licking fried chicken. I'd like to personally shake the hand of the person who dropped their chicken into egg and flour before tossing it in a vat of oil. Accident or divine intervention?
Needless to say, I love friend chicken.
So today, I'm celebrating hard for #NationalFriedChickenDay. It's not official unless you hashtag it. We've seen people celebrating all over the country thanks to that hashtag. So if you're looking for the best fried chicken in all of Louisiana, where can you go? To answer that, we turn to Delish.com. They posted a list of the best places to get your chicken fix in every state.
For Louisiana, that means we're hitting up Raising Cane's. I know. It seems like a rip off. Not to say that we can't get delicious chicken at Raising Cane's (Lord knows I am addicted to Cane's), but we thought we'd get a mom & pop diner or a hole in the wall dive. This seems commercial. Yet at the same time, I did read that Raising Cane's is the fastest growing restaurant chain in the nation, so maybe there is something to this.
Where do you think the best fried chicken is in Louisiana?
