New Brewery and Taproom Headed for Shreveport
On the short list of things I will always welcome into the area with open arms and wallet you will find "Craft Brewery and Taproom," holds a very prominent place. Right there sandwiched in between Top Golf and a drag strip you'll see that I hold an establishment that brews and serves the refreshing liquid Ben Franklin called "...proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" in high esteem.
Imagine my surprise and delight when I read this morning that Shreveport would be the new home of The Se7enth Tap. This award winning brewer has picked the Ratchet City as the new location for their distribution warehouse and taproom. According to the Shreveport Times, this new watering hole will take up residence in the old United Rentals building on Linwood Avenue just north of Kings Highway. This puts it within walking distance of another fantastic local brewery - Great Raft Brewing.
With the planned food areas, roll up doors, pet and family friendly areas - it's sure to be a welcome and refreshing addition to the area. Add in the fact that founders Jose Cardenas, Colby Miller, and Samuel Norton have repurposed and revitalized an existing building and it becomes clear that this new hop-house is a welcome addition.
It looks like we wont have long to wait either - this pantheon of pilsners is already under construction. Reportedly, The Se7enth Tap should be completed and ready to douse your thirst sometime between late 2020 and early 2021.
