New Orleans Brewery Rolls Out New ‘Who Dat’ Beer
Fans of the New Orleans Saints will soon be yelling "Who Dat" at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the 2019 season kicks off at home on September 9th.
But a few days before that, those same fans can begin cheering on a new brew made just for them.
Who Dat Golden Ale, the latest beer from New Orleans-based Urban South Brewery, will be hitting the market after Labor Day weekend.
The brew is made with kolsch yeast, it has a bright, crisp taste, while a dose of citra hops bumps its aromatics.
It is also 5.04 percent alcohol by volume. Oh, that just happens to match the New Orleans area code -- 504!
Urban South Brewery will be holding a season kickoff party on Sept. 8 at its taproom, where in addition to the Who Dat Golden Ale, they'll also serve two more limited edition beers with Saints themes.
Saints fans can also expect a number of the brewery's beers available at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this season.
Sales will dictate if Who Dat Golden Ale becomes a year-round offering from Urban South. The plan, for now, is to produce it through at least February.
