I have forever said that Shreveport is a foodie paradise; we have so many options when it comes to food. Yes, we have all your must-have chain restaurants, but where Shreveport shines is in the mom-and-pop restaurants, the farm to table restaurants. The unsuspecting spots are always hidden gems and we love discovering new eats in Shrevpeort-Bossier.

Shreveport is home to the Best Mexican Restaurant in Louisiana (El Cabo Verde), and we have the title of one of the Best Restaurants in the U.S. (Fat Calf). To say that our dining options in Shreveport are amazing is an understatement. You can't put Shreveport food in a box, we have it all. Maybe that's why we are becoming a destination for foodies all over the Ark-La-Tex.

Louisiana Is Officially Home to the Best Food City in the World

Although Shreveport didn't take the title, we are so proud that the Bayou State has earned the top spot in the world. New Orleans has earned bragging rights for 2025. Time Out just dubbed the Crescent City as the number one spot to get your grub on, we can thank the diverse food options for that title. Time Out is a media group that covers food and culture and they use a unique methodology to rank the best food cities. According to NOLA.com, the ranking considered "quality and affordability ratings alongside a score from a panel of Time Out food experts, including its editors, food critics and chefs." It wasn't just food experts; Time Out also surveyed over 18,500 people from across the world.

This is the perfect excuse to make the drive to New Orleans and indulge in everything New Orleans has to offer, especially the food.
