Nick Jonas Shows Us New Side With Video for Hip-Hop Inspired ‘Area Code’ [VIDEO]

Nick Jonas gets a little moody with his new song 'Area Code.'

Nick Jonas certainly has caught our attention with every song he has put out since going solo. "Area Code" is no different. The song has more of a hip-hop feel to it.

He released the video for the song which has almost a moody feel to it.

The entire video is in black and white and features Jonas in a hoodie singing in the raid. He then takes the stage to preform for a large crowd before hopping on a helicopter and taking off. The song is about a man who can't be with the one he loves and clearly doesn't feel good enough for her.

“Don’t know why I do it but I do/Every time I have a drink of two/I get it bad for you,” he sings.

Nick's new album is supposed to come out early next year. It is expected to have more or a hip-hop, soulful sound, likely to be along the same lines as "Area Code."

One thing for sure is that Nick is digging deep for this album, which he shared with Entertainment Weekly.
