Nipsey Hussle’s Tour Manager Names Son After Late Rapper
Nipsey Hussle's tour manager, Jorge Peniche, is paying homage to his former client in a special way. He has named his newborn son after the beloved rapper.
Peniche made the announcement on Instagram on Friday (April 26). A day after his son's birth, he shared the good news. "World, please welcome our new son... Luis Ermias Peniche🙏🏼 April 25th 2019 // 12:05am," he captioned a pic of the little one. Ermias is Nipsey Hussle's first name.
Though he was tragically taken from us after being shot and killed on March 31, the Crenshaw rapper's family and friends are making sure the marathon continues by keeping his name and efforts alive. Several rappers, including The Game, Rick Ross and Russ, have gotten tattoos in memory of Nip.
On Fri., April 12, the Los Angeles intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue was officially re-introduced to the world as Nipsey Hussle Square.
"As a father, brother, and son, Nipsey was a rock helping to build an empire that will continue through generations," Los Angeles councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said in a press release about the name change. "Nipsey will always be remembered for delivering a pure, authentic Los Angeles sound, his numerous philanthropic efforts, his innovative, community-focused business mindset, and his humble heart."
Most recently, fans have attempted to get crayon company Crayola to rename a blue crayon after the rapper.
