NKOTB Give us the History of Boy Bands in ‘Boy Band Anthem’

My day was just made. 

The 14 year-old girl inside me is happy to see the resurgence of boy bands in any form or fashion, and today I stumbled across a video that looks back decade by decade in the form of song.

New Kids on the Block have delivered a new song and video, Boys in the Band (Boy Band Anthem.) They even recruited *NSYNC's Lance Bass to cameo in it. While the song is not pop music's next Top 40 hit, if you love boy bands you'll have an appreciation for it.

The video begins with Lance Bass, portraying a History teacher, welcoming special guests the New Kids on the Block to his class. The kids aren't that interested in the grandpas that stroll in. Yep, the boys are in full make-up and costumes dressed as old men.

The begin performing, and then take us back through the history of boy bands from the 70's, 80's 90's and 00's. It's hilarious and if you love Donnie and the boys from Boston you'll get a kick out of it like I did.
