Living 900 Miles away from my family I agree 100% that nothing beats grandmas cooking! Every time I go home thats one of the things I have to have. Grandmas just put that special touch or love to their dish that just makes it that much more special. And a restaurant called Enoteca Maria NYC is capitalizing on that.

They feature 2 grandma cooks daily, one Italian and another from a different part of the world with changing menus. Shreveport we need a place like this! The restaurant owner says that the grandmas from around the world coming together helps celebrate diversity by showing how even if we are from different places we all love good food.

Being new to the SBC I'm always looking for new places to eat especially down home cooking. Chain restaurants can be fun but what are some unique places to eat that you can only find here in the SBC? Where are the best places to cook just like grandma?
