Once a Shreveport Hot Spot, The Lot Is Closing Down For Good
In 2021 Shreveport Got Excited Over a New Type of Parking Lot.
The Lot became a performance and event venue that had huge dreams of changing the social landscape of downtown Shreveport.
The Lot Took Over the Old SporTran Bus Terminal.
Remember the old bus terminal at 400 Crockett Street? For a while, the old bus station just had an empty building and big tents that swooped over the area to offer shade. The vision was there, so many Shreveport residents would flock to the area to enjoy live music, art, and food trucks, and take in all the Shreveport culture.
We loved that The Lot took an old abandoned block and brought it to life, however, this block will be empty again.
The Lot Recently Posted the Devastating News on Facebook Thanking Their Supporters.
"I would like to thank all of the people that supported The Lot. It was a great experience but sadly we will be closing the doors. It was great to meet so many talented locals in our area. Food, Music, and Art! We will miss you but we will continue to support our local community. Thanks again."
What Business Should Take Over the Now Empty Lot?
Where will our favorite food trucks set up shop? So many people are bummed, however, this is the perfect time to remember that supporting locals is super important. Please go support all the locally owned spots as often as you can.
