There has been some confusion on social media over Gullo's closing.

My heart sank yesterday as a friend texted me that my favorite place to eat a burger in town was shutting down. Quickly, I ran over to Gullo's Fresh Produce's Facebook page to see if the news was true. Instantly, I has hit with a ray of sunshine as not only was Gullo's Produce on Flouroy Lucas open, but that they have opened their patio for dining.

However, shortly after that I realized that Gullo's did indeed close... It just wasn't the original Gullo's in Shreveport.

Sadly, Gullo's Market in Bossier City announced their will be closing their doors for good.

Gullo's Market opened their doors on Stockwell Road in 2013, and have been a local favorite throughout the years. Users on Facebook expressed their sadness over the closing, writing things like, "So sad about this, we know you are doing what is best for your family." and, " I think in order for me to not cry every Wednesday, you might have to slip me the chicken n dumplings recipe!!.

The last user has a point, those Chicken 'N Dumplins were hard to beat.

We're certainly sad to see Gullo's Market in Bossier join the ever-growing list of locally owned businesses closing down amid our COVID-19 pandemic.

In Shreveport, Gullo's produce has been a staple for over five decades. They announced their reopening on Facebook by saying, "We ARE open for business. We have been serving the community for over 50 years and will continue to! Thanks for all your love and support❤️ ORIGINAL LOCATION: 724 EAST FLOURNOY LUCAS RD. SHREVEPORT, LA."
