This past Sunday, two Louisiana contestants on American Idol were hoping to advance to the next round, but only one will remain on the show.

Faith Becnel, from Destrehan, LA, gave one of her weakest performances in the competition last week and, during the voting period, America couldn't get that out of their minds.

Faith might be off the show, be she is coming to a festival near you soon. And by soon, I mean in ten days. She'll be performing at the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival in Belle Chasse on May 15. For more opportunities to see her perform, click here.

Remaining on American Idol and moving on into the Top 11 is Jovin Webb from Gonzales, Louisiana. Jovin has a strong, raspy, soulful voice that could take him all the way if he makes smart song selections.

This past Sunday, he sang Voodoo by Allen Stone. Obviously a nod to his bayou roots, he once again he knocked it out the park.

Make sure you vote for Jovin, cheer him on to the Top 7, and watch him this Sunday (May 10) at 7:00pm on ABC.
