Help Miranda Lambert 'Fill the Little Red Wagon' with pet food, supplies and money for Pet Savers of Shreveport as she preps for her show in Bossier City at the CenturyLink Center October 5th! Miranda is a huge animal lover and this is the second time she's chosen to work with Pet Savers, so drop by anytime starting Friday, June 28 through Thursday, July 4th between 1 pm - 4 pm to make a donation AND get registered to win free tickets to see Miranda! Pet Savers is located on Noyes Drive in Shreveport.
This is the second and final weekend for the 2019 Parade of Homes, your chance to tour newly built and recently remodeled homes throughout the Shreveport-Bossier area. Homes will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 1 - 6 pm thanks to the Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana.
First United Methodist Church of Bossier is hosting Fireworks and Family this Sunday. Everyone is invited starting at 7 pm for a parade, games, a potluck (bring a side dish), a flag retirement ceremony and fireworks! Don't forget to bring your lawn chair! FUMC is located at 201 John Wesley Blvd in Bossier City.
The River Masters Summer Invitational is this Saturday at the BHP Billiton Branch of the YMCA of Northwest Louisiana in the Miles A Fitzgerald Pool at 3455 Knight Street in Shreveport. Warm up is at 1 pm with the meet beginning at 2 pm. The event supports the YMCA and is sanctioned by Southern Masters Swimming for USMS Inc. Registration for entry is now closed.
Our Twin City Roller Derby team is taking on the Cajun Rollergirls this Saturday at the Bossier Civic Center from 6 - 9 pm. Admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Amenities include concessions, a merchandise booth, a cash bar, and other fun activities during the meet.
