Many across the nation were somewhat upset after hearing that the White House, Disney, and others were willing to donate millions of dollars to aid in the the repair of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, when there were three churches in Louisiana that also needed assistance. Notre-Dame's spire and roof collapsed following a massive fire on Monday, April 15, 2019.

Three black churches in Louisiana sustained fire damage due to arson between March and April of 2019, and when it seemed no assistance would be offered to help them recover, according to KLFY News, donors raised "over $1.6 million and counting" over the past 7 days.

If you wold like to offer assistance as well, donate here.

The suspect, Holden Matthews, of Opelousas, La., has since been arrested and charged for his role in the intentional fires set on March 26, at St. Mary Baptist Church in Port Barre.
