Parents What Should I Buy Your Kid for Christmas?

I love spending time with my nieces and nephews. Truly they bring fun and excitement to my life. I can't imagine life without them. I can't help that they are so precious and I just want to give them everything they ask for.

Every year for Christmas I normally get the little ones a toy for Christmas. I realize that this may not be their parent's ideal gift to give their kids since Santa normally covers the big items. I was told by a family member how they don't like it when their kids get toys. "They use their new toys a couple of times and then leave them thrown around everywhere." I realized I am the one who supplies the toys. The parent followed up with "Please don't buy toys as gifts."

I don't want to disrespect the parent's wishes, but I am at a complete loss here. What can I buy for my nephews and nieces that they will love while not disappointing their parents? Let me know your thoughts in the comment below.
