Post Malone is ready to take his talents to the acting world. According to an Oct. 8 report from The Wrap the "Congratulations" artist will make his acting debut in an upcoming Netflix film, Wonderland, alongside Mark Wahlberg and Black Panther star Winston Duke.

The film is an adaptation by Sean O'Keefe from Robert B. Parker's Wonderland, which is written by Ace Atkins. Wonderland, which is part of the Spencer Series, tells the story of a friendship that gets tested when thugs, money, and a woman is brought into play. The role Post Malone will be playing and the release date has yet to be revealed.

Director Peter Berg told Collider there is the possibility of a sequel, only if the film is successful.

“I think there’s 150 books with this character,” he said. “So if it’s successful and it’s something that we do one every three years or two years. I don’t know what the number would be, and it’s something that we all like, that we feel is creatively satisfying and doesn’t feel like a slog, I think we would definitely do it. Mark and I are brothers and we love working together.”
Despite the film being his first movie acting experience, Post is no stranger to television. The multi-platinum artist stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week (Oct. 1) and played a short clip of a song he wrote for the new Spider-Man film. Fallon also congratulated Post Malone on his album, Stoney, which broke a record previously held by Michael Jackson's Thriller for the album with the most weeks on the Billboard 200 chart at 76 weeks.

Post Malone appeared to be very excited over this latest achievement. "It's super surreal," he said. "I don't even know what the hell to think or to do. I'm just doing my best, I'm just doing the best I can."

Be sure to be on the lookout for Post Malone's acting debut in Netflix's upcoming film, Wonderland.
