Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno Peppers Are a Thing
As someone who is obsessed with all things fall, I can admit that there is a strange love for pumpkin spice all over the world. However, I am not a huge fan of pumpkin spice. I am more of a chocolate peppermint or gingerbread flavor, but that is just me. Now the pumpkin spice lovers of the world might have gone to far with this one.
Prepare yourself... Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno Peppers! According to Bustle, the Chile Pepper Institute used their mystery pepper science to spawn these things.
Now this pepper has been around for awhile. According to Bustle, "the NuMex Lemon Spice, NuMex Orange Spice, and NuMex Pumpkin Spice peppers were created in 1995 with the goal of developing a more colorful jalapeno."
The pepper has 80,000 Scoville Heat Units, and you can grow them yourself by purchasing seeds through the Chile Pepper Institute. The seeds will cost you about $6.00.
