Randomness…

Can we all agree that you can see some pretty random and disparate things in a day in beautiful Shreveport/Bossier City? This morning I ran to the 'cut rate' dry cleaners by the radio station to pick up my show shirt for this weekend and my hubby's tux... While waiting in line, I was perusing the business cards and different advertisements on their bulletin board. Is it strange to anyone else that someone would either make on their own at home or order business cards that say CEO for a business that clearly consists of one person? OK, you're tough stuff working out of your car (or bed...) You're the owner, CFO, CEO, Head of the Board, COO and chief car washer... That's pretty impressive. There were two that I saw in a glance that listed themselves as CEO... one was a wanna be Club DJ and who knows what the other was... By the name of the business you couldn't even tell what he wanted to advertise. I'm thinking it was pointless to waste the ink printing that card. I'm guessing he (the CEO) just likes giving girls a card that says CEO while trying to convince them he's not a $30,000 a year millionaire. Could I be a little jaded? YES! No need to even sugar coat that, but this sense of over inflated self confidence has gone beyond the norms. There was another business card for Sam. I'm not sure what Sam does, but for our purposes, we're making Sam a yard boy. His homemade business card read, "Sam"s Yard Service." Yep, 'Sam"s...' Ever hear of spell check? Dang! I better check this closely before I'm done so I don't get ragged on. Oh well... Who really cares? Blogs don't have to be perfect, but any materials promoting your business should be proof read. Shaking my head I went on to work to find out that our computers have decided to revolt. So I killed some time by running to the Home Depot by the radio station to pick up a big, Stanley rolling tool chest. This is what I saw when I pulled up... some poor kid's Matchbox car was decapitated. See, Shreveport/Bossier City is entertaining...
