Ryan McKenna went from being your average 13-year-old to the coolest kid in school in a matter of seconds when he found himself jamming with JT during the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show.

McKenna became an instant meme when he took a selfie with Timberlake but then immediately looked down at his phone while the pop superstar performed right next to him.

It didn't take the internet long to figure out that McKenna, aka "Selfie Kid" was from Hingham, Massachusetts and when it came to viral Super Bowl LII moment Ryan says he just "went for it."

I just thought to myself, ‘I’ll never get this opportunity again in my whole life.’ I just went for it.

McKenna says once he appeared on TV his phone blew up with "36 Snapchats, like 21 DMs, and like 150 follower requests on Instagram."
