When Seth Meyers takes over "Late Night" Feb. 24, he'll be bringing another SNL'er along with him.

Meyers announced via Twitter that Fred Armisen will tale over as leader of the 8G Band, named after the studio from which the show originates.

"Fred will curate and lead the band, and continue to run it even when he's off shooting Portlandia," Meyers tweeted.

Armisen plays drums and guitar, and was a member of the punk band Trenchmouth in the 1980s, as well as playing background drums for Blue Man Group.

Meyer's first guest on the new "Late Night" will be yet another former "Saturday Night Live" castmember, his former "Weekend Update" and current "Parks & Recreation" star Amy Poehler.
