Last month, Texas police were left scratching their heads after a motorist made a gruesome discovery.  According to long-haul experts at Freight Waves, a severed leg was found in Cibolo, Texas, and authorities have finally found out where it came from.

Back on March 22nd, a chilling discovery was made on the side of Interstate 10 just north east of San Antonio.  A severed leg was found, but officials uncovered no sign of where the body part had come from.  After reaching out to several law enforcement agencies in hopes of finding more information, investigators have finally solved the mystery.

According to the report, the severed leg came from a fatal accident over 50 miles away in Boerne, Texas.  According to investigators, the victim in that accident was 46-year-old commercial truck driver Jeremy McGee, of Kerrville, Texas.

McGee was reportedly struck by an SUV while standing on the side of I-10 next to his 18-wheeler.  Unfortunately, investigators say that he had not activated his emergency flashers making it difficult for the driver of the SUV to see the disabled vehicle or McGee.  Officials believe that somehow McGee's leg became lodged in another 18 -wheeler traveling behind the SUV and traveled another 50 miles before falling in the Cibolo area.

Police are still trying to get to the bottom of this situation, but currently have no plans to file charges against the driver of the SUV.
