The SyFy original movie "Sharknado" pulled in an impressive 1.4 million viewers Thursday night, and there's already talk of a possible sequel!

E! News asked producers Paul Bales and David Latt if they were considering a sequel after the film's huge success, to which they replied, "Well, now!" And director Anthony C. Ferrante also expressed interest in doing another film.

But a SyFy rep says that there were and are no immediate plans for a sequel. However, the network has just announced that due to popular demand, there will be an encore showing of "Sharknado" July 18 at 6 p.m. (CT)

The flick, which stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering, was the most buzzed-about show on social media, peaking at about 5,000 tweets a minute.
