Michael Jace, who appeared on the FX series The Shield, was convicted of second-degree murder Tuesday in the 2014 death of his wife, April.

The jury reached the verdict after deliberating for less than three hours over two days. The ruling was dropped from first-degree to second-degree murder because the jury didn't believe the crime was premeditated.

Jace faces 40 years to life in state prison when he's scheduled for sentencing June 10.

The actor was arrested after police responded to a 911 call directing them to the couple's Los Angeles home. He was later charged with murder after being held in jail on $2 million bail.
