Should School Buses In The Arklatex Have Seat Belts?

This is the first year my 8-year old son, Deacon, has relied on a School Bus for transportation to and from school.  I am so proud of him, and also scared to death when I see stories like this. Luckily, no injuries were reported and another bus was along shortly to get all of the kiddos to their destinations.  In this instance, the bus was rear-ended on I-20 yesterday morning.  There were 20 kids on the bus at the time.

Back in the day, we were tough.  We used to play outside with no supervision at all - but when I think about the boy being in a wreck in that yellow crackerbox, I just want to cover him in a combination of bubble wrap and pillows.  I would feel much better if the buses had airbags and/or seat belts at least!  I know it would be expensive, but wouldn't it be worth it?
