It's No Secret That the Roads in Shreveport-Bossier Desperately Need Fixing.

We the people of Shreveport-Bossier have been begging for better roads so you'd think we were prepared for changes. If you haven't heard we have multiple closures that will slow down your morning commute. I-20 east and westbound are down to one lane of travel in most of Bossier City.

There are Multiple Nighttime Closures Throughout Shreveport-Bossier.

Various sections of I-20 in Shreveport are closed for concrete repairs. The list is extensive you can click here to see all the expected closures in Shreveport-Bossier and the latest from DOTD. It seems like nighttime closures may be the least of our worries when we are on a mission to make it to work.

Doug Warner took to his Facebook page on Thursday morning to say "Its a good day to just call out. Wreck on I-220 WB. Of course it’s the alternative for the I-20 construction. So now main surface roads through Bossier City aren’t moving. That blue dot, me, will get to work by lunchtime." Was it actually that bad? According to several people needing to get to work, yes, it was that bad.

It Was the Perfect Storm in Shreveport on Thursday, September 21st.

There was a wreck on the alternative route for the I-20 construction. So an already congested area came to a complete stop. Some Shreveport residents claim that they were extremely late to work. One Benton resident claims they were almost 2 hours late to work.

Does This Mean That You Need to Start Leaving Early Just to Make it to Work On Time?

Multiple residents are worried that the alternative routes will not only remain congested but also cause several car accidents.
