Shreveport / Bossier City Is The MOST Affordable Place To Live In Louisiana

Not only does the SBC have the best in schools, restaurants, LIVE music, just general cool stuff to do, it's also the most affordable to live in all of Louisiana!

This is based on data that was just released on Monday called the  Cost of Living Index.  The CLI is compiled by the Council for Community and Economic Research and measures regional differences in the cost of consumer goods and services. It's a very cool way to measure costs by averaging over 90,000 prices in an area.

Housing is where we win big!  North Louisiana’s housing costs average nearly 13 points below the national average!  I can attest that house rental prices are about 2-300 dollars LESS than comparable housing in East Texas (Tyler/Longview).  And it's not just Shreveport and Bossier City proper, the surveyed area includes all of Caddo, Bossier, De Soto and Webster Parishes too!
